As a therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empathetic space for my clients.
I am a client-centered, strengths-based therapist who brings sincerity and compassion to the process. I understand each client will be different with unique issues they bring into session that requires various modalities of therapy. My training has been focused on interventions and skills to utilize with children, adolescents, and families through Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
While I have training in couples therapy modalities, my passion is working with children, adolescents, and families.
Education & Experience: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in Washington State. I am also a member the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Washington State University in 2017. Upon graduating, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a counseling career. In 2019 I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University.
While pursuing my degree I gained clinical experience specifically working with children, adolescents and families. The majority of my time was spent at Shadle Park High School working with adolescents within the school system. I also gained experience facilitating a number of groups for children and adolescents over the summer months. My professional background includes working with children, adolescents and adults from different cultures, races, and socioeconomic statuses in difficult and sensitive situations.
