About Me
I was born and raised in North Carolina and joined the US Air Force in 2004. I served 11 years in the military before I separated to pursue my passion as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I moved to WA in 2015 after the military. I am a mother, wife, and veteran. My true passion lies with helping the military, veterans and their families navigate the struggles and unique situations experienced on a daily basis.
Every client is unique which requires varying methods or modalities of treatment in order to meet the unique needs of the client. Some modalities utilized include: EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) techniques, Experiential Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Education & Experience: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in Washington State. I am also a member of the Working with Military Personnel and Their Families Topical Interest Network.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University and my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University, a COAMFTE accredited program. I completed my internship at the Spokane Veterans Center where I worked with military, veterans, and their families for almost two years. I also completed internship hours at the Whitworth Marriage and Family Therapy Center.
